CSUEB Science festival

CSUEB has held science festivals since 1974. This year the Pakpour lab participated for the first time in this fun celebration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We had fantastic time sharing the insects we borrowed from the UC Davis Bohart Museum of Entomology with the public. Special thanks to the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District for participating and sharing the day with us.

Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell

Beautiful videos explaining things with "optimistic nihilism". I have found the videos on GMOs, genetic engineering, Ebola and the immune system particularly useful.

Armando Hasudengan: biology & medicine videos

These are great explanations with drawings that really help you learn a particular disease or system, especially if you copy them with him as he is drawing. I highly recommend the immunology and malaria series.
